Crazy Customers

So, the other day we had a He/She come into the salon asking about perms. The receptionist was with another client, so our junior stylist greeted him. He asked whether we could book him in for a perm and explained what he wanted to have done. He had reasonably short curly hair and asked to have it straightened. Our junior stylist is mixed race and explained that a perm would not work, and that he would need to have it either permanently straightened or relaxed. At this point she explained that she had her hair relaxed and that it had always worked for her. She then carried on to explain that our salon does not offer this service and that he would have to source this service elsewhere. So off he goes.... The next day he came back in (with no hair at all) screaming at the junior because she had burnt his hair off??? Obviously she got upset and tried to reason with him, that she hadn't done anything. Apparently he had gone to a drug store and bought a relaxer to apply at home. He had then proceeded to over process it and had not read the instructions, which resulted in his hair being burnt off. He would not leave easily so she explained that she would pass on his details to the manager, as she couldn't offer any advise and didn't know how to handle the situation. The manager called the gent that day to find out what the problem was, to which he replied it was our fault! Obviously it wasn't so she explained to him we had not touched his hair or given him instructions to carry out the service himself, and that all we had done was give him the name of the service he needed. He was not happy and hung up the phone. He then came into the salon the next day screaming and shouting that he wanted compensation. By this point the manager was getting very angry at him, as she knew we hadn't done anything wrong and throws him out. He was so aggressive towards her that a crowd had formed outside of the salon and two men had to escort him away. Obviously it isn't very nice that he has no hair now but I really did have to laugh at some peoples take on things. I mean come on he burnt his own hair off, how is this our fault???? Totally crazy customers. The salon never has a dull moment!!!
