Back to work I go...
Hey Everyone,
So very recently I went back to work. The first day I went back, I was full with guilt and anxiety. I really wanted to go back to work because 1. I needed the money and 2. I missed my colleagues and my passion. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been thinking about all the reasons I should go back to work and how it will be good for myself and my daughter. So here are 5 valuable reasons that we shouldn't feel guilty about returning to work and why it will actually be good for our children:
1.It is really important for our children to have interaction with other people. They learn different skills from different people By our children meeting new people, they build new relationships and learn valuable social skills.
2. Our passion and work ethic will rub off onto our children. When children see their parents working hard and providing an income, they will also know the importance of having a good work ethic.
3. Leaving the house and going to work can act as a mental break. We all love our children but it is also healthy for us to have adult interaction. Having a break will allow you to go home with a clear brain and ready to give the children your full attention.
4.Your child will learn new skills when they attend nursery or school. Nursery's / School's are designed to stimulate your child's brain and teach them new things.
5. More money means more things you can do with your children. Obviously when we don't work, we don't have as much money. So we when go back to work, we can afford to provide our children with a better lifestyle.
The moral of the story is, don't feel guilty. Working is a very normal thing, and the majority of people need to work to live. Leaving your child is hard but they will not hate you. When they are older they will thank you for everything you did to provide them with a great upbringing.
Work, play and be happy. Your children will always love you....
