How to stop your foils from slipping...
1. My first tip is to make sure your weave sections are not to thick. If the weave is too thick, then you will not be able to get close to the root and it will look like slippage.
2. The width of your weave should not be wider than your foil. If you take wider sections than the foils, the foil will slip as it will not be very secure. The sides of the weave will also have a lot of drag on them.
3. Keep tension on the weave when putting the foil underneath. Do not let go of the weaved hair or drop the tension until you have applied the product all the way down the foil and onto the hair. The product will help to hold the foil and the hair in place.
4. If the hair is longer than the foil, gently place your hand under the foil and use your hand as a board. Very carefully twist the end up into the foil and saturate them with product. It is important not to lift the foil or move it around. This will cause a lot of slippage. I don't move my foil at all when putting the product on.
5. If needed keep your hand on the top of the foil whilst you apply the product onto the hair.
6. Be very soft handed when closing the foil. Hold the top of the foil in place whilst you lift the end to the top and close the foil.
7. Do not over squash you foils when closing them. Compacting them too much can cause bleeding. Once the foil is closed, Bring the two sides in to secure it.
8. Check the underside for any slippage. If the your foil has slipped, put another foil around it and re secure in place.
9. Work cleanly and do not disturb your finished foils.
